Hi there, we’re back with a new update. 

 

As of this writing, we only have 25 backers with incomplete surveys. Because we already completed the production of the first batch, backers who filled out their surveys late will be included in a later production and fulfilment batch. 

 

Fulfilment Progress

 

The transport of the rewards arrived in our warehouse last week. We have started packing and labelling the perks as part of the fulfilment preparation however we had to put things on hold for next week due to the Chinese New Year celebration.

 

All businesses are closed down for the celebration and people who are working in big cities take the opportunity to go home and celebrate the festival with their loved ones. The Chinese New Year celebration is like Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year all rolled into one for our Chinese colleagues. Before the Covid-19 situation, our factory and warehouse colleagues usually took time off only within the New Year’s celebration which takes approximately 1 week. 

 

However, due to the Covid-19 processes that some cities have imposed, many people had to request for time off as early as the 3rd week of January. This is for them to have more time to process medical clearances and avoid crowded means of transportation when they travel home. 

 

This, unfortunately, slowed down our recent progress because we had to work with very few warehouse staff who were available to work until February 10th. While we started packing some packages, we have unfortunately not shipped out any perks as some couriers have stopped their operation as early as the first week of February.

 

We understand that there were delays with our campaign and we know that all our backers are eager to receive their SMOL.

 

We are forever grateful for your trust and support because without you, bringing SMOL to life would have been impossible. We sincerely acknowledge that we haven’t progressed through this campaign as well as we would have liked. That came from both outside challenges that we couldn't have anticipated and the follow-on changes imposed by the global pandemic. Looking back, it has been not only a very humbling experience but also a very valuable learning journey for our team. 

 

We will continue to learn from these experiences and we remain grateful for every single one of our backers. This will help us do better in our future projects and we appreciate the community’s support and understanding. 

 

For now, we hope to resume packing and shipping on February 19th so you can receive your perk as soon as possible.

Hi there, we’re back with a new update. 

 

We still have 27 backers with incomplete surveys. In case you missed it, these backers will be included in a later production and fulfilment batch. 

 

Production Update

 

The production of all rewards is complete and we have also completed our first of the 2 Quality Control inspections we conduct as a standard. 

 

The rewards have arrived in our warehouse so we can conduct our own Quality Control inspection and we aim to complete this stage in the next 2-3 days. We’re hoping that we don’t encounter any issues during our inspection so we can ideally ship out the rewards to our fulfilment centre late this week and start the preparation of the fulfilment by next week. 

 

If everything goes as planned, you should start receiving your tracking details before the month ends. Please bear with us as we go through the process of manually editing the tracking information to fit BackerKit’s required format. We will also post a new update once the tracking numbers are uploaded. 

 

This is the last leg of our campaign and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we do our best to expedite the final stage of this process.

 

Survey Addresses Are Locked

 

As part of our fulfilment preparation, we’ve already locked your shipping details. Because of that, you can no longer make changes to your shipping details. Whatever delivery details we have in your survey is where we’ll direct your SMOL package to. 

 

If you need assistance with anything related to your shipping information, please send us an email to [email protected] ASAP and we’ll do our best to help.

 

Where To Check My Tracking Info

 

1. Your email: you will receive an email from "Alex - LiteTravel" once your tracking number is uploaded in BackerKit.


2. Your BackerKit survey: access it using the same link as before, click the “View Confirmation” button in the top right corner (computer and tablet) or the project’s name, then “View Confirmation” in the dropdown menu (mobile). If you no longer have the link to your survey, input your email here: https://smol-indiegogo.backerkit.com to have your survey resent to you.

 

After the steps above, if your package has been dispatched and the tracking info has been uploaded for your package, you will see this:

You can track your package by clicking the tracking number in the email or in your BackerKit profile. Or you can also copy and paste your tracking number into any of these platforms:

 

  • 17track.net - universal tracking platform that you can use for any package, any destination
  • The website of the national postal service of your country (e.g. USPS, Australia Post, Canada Post, Royal Mail etc.)
  • PostNL: if your tracking number ends in NL, you can also track your package on the official PostNL website until it reaches your destination country. After that, it will be available to track on your national postal carrier website as well.

 

Please note it can take a few days for updates to appear in your tracking log. That's perfectly normal, as your package was just dispatched.


How Do I Know My Package Is Shipped?

 

All packages will likely be dispatched quite close to one another. We appreciate your patience and understanding until your order gets dispatched. Follow the instructions above in the “Where to check my tracking info?” section. Until your package is dispatched and your tracking info is available, your BackerKit survey will look like this:

Production Update

In case you missed our previous update, the production of your rewards has started a few weeks ago and we’re aiming to complete this stage towards the end of December. 

 

The fulfilment stage will start by the first week of January 2021. This is already taking into account all the incoming holidays. We’re very hopeful that we don’t encounter any hiccups in the coming weeks so we can have all the rewards shipped out before the end of January.

 

We appreciate everyone’s understanding that these are not hard timelines. These are our best estimates as agreed with all parties involved in the manufacturing and fulfilment process. In case anything changes, we’ll let you know through our campaign updates. 

 

In the meantime, we’ve included some pictures from the production line. Please note that the colours in the pictures depend on the brightness and contrast settings of your screen, as well as the conditions they were taken in (very bright artificial lighting makes colours very light etc.).

 

 

Shipping Details

 

You are still able to edit your shipping details in your BackerKit survey. As we get ready for fulfilment, we will lock addresses after a 48 hour prompt. During that 2 day window, it will be your last chance to change your shipping details. We are not there quite yet, but we want you to be aware of the process well in advance because that time will be coming very very soon.

 

Special characters and Foreign Alphabets: Your shipping details must be written in standard English alphabet letters and numbers. Special characters like Japanese kanji, Thai alphabet, etc. are not accepted by the shipping system. We will need you to provide your full address using only standard characters in order to be able to fulfill your reward.

 

APO/FPO and P.O. Box: If possible, please provide a physical address, with street name and number, for your delivery. Most couriers don’t deliver to APO/FPO or P.O. box addresses, unfortunately, so providing a complete physical address is best.

 

You must also include a valid phone number. This is required by all carriers, so the delivery person can contact you if needed.

 

If you need to edit your address, please access your survey using the same link as before and click the “Edit Your Address” button in the top right corner (on computer or tablet) or the arrow next to the project title, View Confirmation -> Shipping Info (on mobile).

Production Update

 

The materials needed to start the production of the rewards for our Indiegogo batch have arrived in our factory and our production stages have already started. We’re aiming to complete production by the end of December and the fulfilment of all rewards will immediately follow. 

 

We appreciate everyone’s understanding that this is not a set-in-stone timeline and we’ll definitely let you know if anything changes.

 

We sincerely apologise for the delay and for any inconveniences this might be causing you. We understand that everyone is eager to receive their SMOL especially during this winter season, however, the extended lockdown and the 6-8 week delay that we experienced due to the pandemic were, unfortunately, out of our control. We assure you that we’re doing our best to meet the estimated timelines that we mentioned above. 

 

We share everyone’s disappointment as we’ve always delivered our products on time with our previous campaigns and wish we could have maintained that track record. However, sometimes challenges do come up. They are inherent to any crowdfunding campaign even in normal operating conditions. When you add a global pandemic to the equation, delays are unfortunately unavoidable. We will do our best to minimise any inconveniences as much as possible.

 

Our customer service team is available 24/7 to assist you with any questions that you might have, so feel free to contact us anytime.

 

Shipping Details Changes

 

Your address will be locked as we move closer to the fulfilment of your rewards. You will receive an email notification that will prompt you to finalise your shipping details. 

 

If you’re planning to move or have moved in the meantime, please edit your address now or make sure to keep an eye on our future updates. We’ll post one just before we lock your addresses so you can check everything’s in order. This way, you’ll have a better idea on what address is best to use for the delivery of your SMOL. 

 

For now, your shipping details are still unlocked and editable. If you wish to make any changes to your shipping details, you can do it anytime (even right now!) directly through your survey. If you lost your survey link, please use the retrieval link at the beginning of this update to have it resent to your inbox.

Hi Litetravel friends, we hope you’re well and safe. We’re back with another update. 

 

From 45, we’re now down to 31 backers who haven’t filled in their surveys yet. Backers who filled in their surveys late will be included in a later production batch so we appreciate your help in filling yours in as soon as possible. 

 

You can always access your survey through the same link as before so you can check the status. If you’ve already completed your survey, then you’re all set.

 

Production Update

 

The materials have been ordered for our Indiegogo batch and we’ve already paid all our suppliers and manufacturers. However, as we are a small family business (as opposed to being a big company with a large supply chain), our priority in the manufacturing calendar has been pushed back several times so far and, unfortunately, there’s not much we can do but wait for our turn in line. 

 

For now, we’re making efforts to go through production and start the fulfilment stage by the end of December. This is also due to the 6-8 weeks delay imposed by the pandemic, however, we’re doing our best to work with our manufacturer so we can move through the production stages as efficiently as possible. Please note that the fulfilment stage is not a hard timeline, but rather our best estimate based on the calendar provided by our manufacturer. If anything changes, we’ll make sure to let you know.

 

In the meantime, if you still need to make changes to your shipping address, you can do so via your Backerkit survey.

 

Kindly note that we would not be able to accommodate changes in reward colour or size at this stage because the order has already been placed and the materials have been processed based on the details we already have recorded for each backer.

 

Although these are unprecedented delays, we apologise in advance for any inconvenience this might cause you. We’ve always delivered on time on our previous campaigns, and while the pandemic might be considered old news by some, for many (us included), it is still very impactful not just through loved ones being exposed to the virus but also through severe strains imposed on our team and company. 

 

Your trust and support have kept us going despite the extensive challenges we experienced throughout this campaign and we will continue to stay true to our promise that we will share with you honest and transparent updates.
